To kick off the season, we made a significant donation to acquire materials to support the camp’s operations throughout the year. These included gloves of various kinds, gardening tools, construction tools, cleaning supplies, and equipment to build a new restroom. We also made a considerable contribution in construction materials to be used for repairs.

May

Camp Mayto welcomes volunteers from all over Mexico and requires a variety of tools to carry out its conservation activities. Our goal was to ensure they had the resources needed to protect and conserve sea turtles efficiently.

Before the season began, we provided new signs for Camp Mayto, which receives a large number of visitors.

During the peak season, we made a donation to renew the uniforms for the technical team.

December

After Hurricane Roslyn, the camp suffered significant damage to its facilities, requiring reconstruction efforts. We provided support by supplying materials and labor to initiate the necessary repairs. Additionally, we contributed partially to the purchase of a new ATV.

2021

June-July

Eight years after our first support for Camp Mayto, we were honored to sponsor them with equipment, signage, and tools to assist the technical team.
This support kit included.

December

EThe last rainy season left the kitchen and camping areas at Camp Mayto completely roofless, and they asked for our help to restore them with new roofing sheets. Fortunately, we were able to assist with the following donation:

  • • Reconstruction roofing sheets: $31,000

Thanks to all the caguama-drinkers, we remain committed to supporting the camp in every way we can. Cheers to caguamas with a cause!

 

2013

November

This was our fourth donation since 1000 Caguamas started, and it was dedicated to Camp Mayto, an impressive operation thanks to its infrastructure and rescue capabilities.

  • Netting for the nesting corral and fuel vouchers: $2,500

December

As promised, this month’s support for materials for the second nesting corral and additional fuel vouchers amounted to $5,000, bringing the total donation for the year to $7,500.
